Spark Better Mood with These 5 Healing Walks in Bali

KajaNe Bali Villas is here to save the day! When life gets hard, there’s no better thing we could recommend than going for one of these healing walks in Bali. It is a stress improver that totally works and we know you’ll need it.

Walking has plentiful health benefits. It is also a great alternative for those who fancy light cardio with no running and jumping necessary. This physical activity is equally an amazing antidote to stress like how the after-sensation of other exercise movements makes you feel. The enjoyment you find in walking slow or fast comes from a release of the happy hormone, endorphin. Strolling promotes relaxation. Basically, the movement allows you to control your pace of breath to get more oxygen infiltrated into your respiratory system. Just like yoga but instead of sitting, you’re walking. By letting more oxygen in, it helps to enhance our brain function so we can see better solutions to the problem we’re facing today.

These 5 Healing Walks in Bali Will Not Bore You At All

Some people find staycation in some Bali villas therapeutic. Some say exercise sparks the same energy. However, there are also some who prefer going out to nature best bits as their restorative move. Now, what if we combine hanging around nature while exercising at once? Imagine walking down a pathway with gorgeous views embracing your weary soul. Drawing in the refreshing air makes it easy to blow your worry in the back of your mind while beholding every corner that never ceases to amaze you. Now, where can you begin this walking adventure then?

Read more in the following to figure out the 5 best walks in Bali (click the sub-heading if you’d like to know more about one of them).

Banyumala Waterfall

We nominated one of our 5 best walks in Bali for Banyumala trekking. Banyumala is a name of a waterfall in Buleleng Regency. It has crystal clear, cool water and does not come with an extreme depth so you’re safe to swim here. The journey to the encounter of this exotic waterfall is quite a distance from our private villa in Ubud center, KajaNe MUA.

It takes you around 1 hour and twenty minutes by car (if traffic is none). As you’re approaching the site, you’ll be welcomed by a big banner signifying you’re close enough to the waterfall. The pathway you have to pass down is so much fun when you travel by motorbike. Although the pathway is clear, you have to be exceptionally careful since the way down is quite narrow and steep.

After parking, you’ll be blessed with an amazing garden view, and an alley surrounded by greenery and puny water streams here and there. You can practically handle the walk-in Banyumala with no guide, it’s an easy walk after all.

Campuhan Ridge Walk

Bukit Cinta or the Love Hill is a short 20-minute lovely locale in Ubud. People adore visiting the spot as a perfect morning or late afternoon jogging or walking spot, also a pre-wedding getaway with your fiancé.  To get to the scenic hill, you will cross a bridge with a Campuhan valley underneath and the iconic Gunung Lebah Temple that’s been found since the 8th century by Indian priest, Rsi Markandeya.

Please do note that women in the period are not to enter any sacred sites in Bali and observe the appropriate costume before going in. From our private villa in Ubud, KajaNe MUA is merely a 4-minute distance.

Bedugul Botanical Garden or Taman Eka Karya

It’s more than just one of the most beautiful walks in Bali but a dreamy outdoor meal or barbeque point you could ever ask for. Bedugul botanical garden exudes this enchanting atmosphere with a vast, managed natural jungle, big and tall trees, lake views, and of course lots of greenhouses where you can find any unique plant species and take insta-worthy shots as many as you want.

Exploring this magical garden we think would be too impossible if done in a day. You can certainly take a good long walk with no worries of getting bored. Warmly dress if you visit this site since the climate can be quite foggy, frigid, with moderate rain intensity.

Nunggalan Beach

Situated in the beach havens in the south of Bali, to have your first step on the hidden paradise requires an amble. Certainly, this place is not for those who complain constantly about strolling down and up a hill because yes, you’re going to trek down a hill before finally being astounded and feeling proud with your walking achievement – a white-sand beach off the beaten track.

Make sure to take a picture of the abandoned, decorated ship, bring water and some snacks but don’t leave your trash behind.  The challenging path is surely worth a reward and we couldn’t more agree to recommend Nunggalan beach as one of the best walks in Bali. Just gear up your feet, that’s for sure.

Sambangan Village Walks in Bali

Another pearl undercover in Buleleng Regency, we suggest visiting Sambangan Village with a guide and leaving early in the morning. You can adjust the trekking length in Sambangan as you like it since there are numerous engaging activities for you to indulge in; from setting your foot on a beautiful rice field or garden, hiking to encountering over 4 waterfalls with one of them you can safely glide down through, Kroya Waterfall – you name it! Many visitors gave a fantastic rate on how they had so much fun in the area.
